Agree on the osram nightbreakers, best non hid bulbs I've seen.
Probably better than aftermarket hid's on some cars.

Couldn't be bothered chancing them bluevision ones or cool blues so bit the bullet and got Nightbreakers of ebay for about £11 including p&p....
decent enough price? Think the local motor factors sell them for £14 and Autobulbsdirect are looking just over £17
ebay ftw lol (thanks for you comments btw )

I bought some £3 a bulb 'blue' jobbies on ebay and get flashed all the time, my friend who I follow home from work says how bright they are. One blew last night though so Im stuck with one bright white and one a nice Tesco's garage special pale yellow one

Its not really that simple once you have upgraded to HID

It is really, ballast and bulb out, normal bulb in, might take an extra 10 mins.

Depends where they are fitted but it's an extra couple of minutes even if you do.

As stated by Lee, it can be, and I would say removing the balasts is equally as simple, just takes a bit more time.
Changing a gear box wouldn't be quite as simple.

Jesus H Christ..
I replied because I didnt want people thinking upgrading to HID was a case of just swapping bulbs or that you could use a standard bulb on a HID ballast.

GF has Osram Nightbreakers in her Corsa, i have Philips Blue Vision in the Mondeo.
Both give out a better, stronger quality of light, but the Blue Visions have a whiter, purer tinge to them.

I think your problem is that people put there light level to its highest and its like someone has got there main beam on insted of there dipped beam.
