Watched a fair few films over the past couple of weeks. Mainly due to getting a Cineworld Unlimited Card and the 5 Blu-Rays for 4 nights @ £10 deal in Blockbuster.
Invention of Lying: Better than I expected, but it got too serious and boring about an hour in. Good concept though. 7/10
Fighting: Pretty shit tbh. Not much else to say. 3/10
Fast and Furious: Not bad, weak storyline (obviously) but the action and effects were decent. As were the cars. 6/10
Year One: Fell asleep half hour into it. Says it all tbh. 2/10
12 Rounds: Weak story but decent action and easy enough to watch. 5/10
Valkeyrie: Really good film. Not sure if them sounding American was such a good idea though. Sometimes a poor German accent can be a good thing. Just made it hard to believe and follow at times. Still good though 7/10
Couples Retreat: Actually a very funny film. Vince Vaughn carried most of the cast, but there is enough eye candy to make up for that. 7/10
Usual Suspects: Maybe I need to see it again, but I really didn't think it was as good as people make out. I guessed the ending too. Which can't be good? 6/10
Tonights viewing: Tropic Thunder.

I liked Invention Of Lying as well, good film. Started to drag towards the end right enough as if they were trying to fill a certain running time.

I was busting for a piss when they were in the Church. I knew full well what was going to happen but I had already been for a piss so had to stay put, so as not to piss off the entire row once again

Just remembered how lame his Irish accent was! Not even sure why he had to be Irish

fighting 1/10 - shite
blood and bone 7.5/10 - the best underground fighting film ive seen
gran turino 8/10 - the first 10 minutes are slow and almost enough to want to turn it off but doing that would be a big mistake. classic film
bucket list 7/10 - definately worth a watch and features two really good actors(morgan freeman and jack nicholson)
america 7/10 - good film about an african american orphan instated into an orphanage

Invention of lying - Same as his last one, was ok, not amazing - 6/10
The imaginarium of Dr Pernasus - Wasn't that impressed tbh, loads of it was very Monty Python but that won't keep many people interested. 4/10
Seen Valkyrie a while ago, good I thought.

Agreed with Gran Torino, I thought it was an awesome film. I've watched it twice as well which I rarely do.

Although watching Gran Torino made me pretty angry. Just the whole gang mentality thing, it does my head in. But that's a rant I'll save for another day.
