The Halfords trade Card scheme through VxON has been dropped - other Members CLubs kicked off at Halfords and they pulled it from us
The Vauxhall Trade Club Cards are still outstanding - the VBOA Affiliation is sorted, which entitles us to it, but Vauxhall aren't dishing them out, even with the VBOA trying to help sort them for us.
People who had already received a Halfords Trade Card through VxON can keep them active by keeping their Club Membership active...

Just go to a local motorfactors. Even with the trade card, the motorfactors work out cheaper.

The rules used to be that you have to show evidence of working in the trade (i.e. payslip), however this got abused as employees that worked for landrover but just sat in offices all day were getting trade cards. So my local Halfords now asks for proof of relevant Motor Vehicle qualifications such as NVQ's, City and Guilds etc.

thing is, you dont need qualifiction's to buy and sell car's, with a bit of fixing them up, and i'd class that as the motortrade
