Whats the best trimmer for decent money these days? I have a crappy trimmer that I just use with no guard as when I trim my stubble I want it to be really short. Are there any decent trimmers on the market that can do that?

Bad buy - I got one of those and although thought they were the bees knees to start with you soon realise the guard doesnt wrap around the tip of the cutter so you end up with bald patches as you go round your jawline.

Been a few threads on here and have read the same comments.

TBH if you have it fairly short then you'll be OK, I tend to have mine at a good few mm which means the guard is fairly high.

Some older Nicky Clarke wet and dry ones.

Im due some new ones tbh, just need to find some decent ones. Ones you can get wet are a must imo.

I got one for my birthday in April. Used it, then swilled it under the tap assuming it was waterproof like my old one. It wasn't

So sent the folks back to Boots to exchange it for another and well, I've learnt my lesson now. I know what Cosmo means about the bald patches, it can happen, especially around the chin.
