really need to start thinking what car im going to look at getting next, and tbh i havnt got a clue at this moment in time, i have been looking at the following..

polo 6n2 (1.4)
mk3 golf (1.4)
mk4 golf (tdi)
bmw 318ci (2000-)

any ideas welcome (must be max 3k)

i like the sound of the 318ci but that more luxury which i want but cant exactly do much with them, and everyone knows i get bord easily lol..

just want to drive something with a bit of class, that isnt going to break the bank, also i could have my private plate on it (needs to be J reg or above, which it will be)

Bora, only a tad bigger than a golf.

Deffo don't get the Mk3 1.4, mk3 is the worst golf ever and the 1.4 would be awful in it too!!

i dont know about a tad antnee lol, there quite a bit bigger then a golf the boras are..

something i should be looking at when i have kids im thinking lol..

are the mk3 1.4s really that bad?

They are a golf with a bigger boot!! I was looking at them when I was 17!! Highline 130 TDI ftw!!


I had the 90bhp tdi and that was awful, let alone some shit 1.4!

Mk3 golfs are alright.I had a 16v anni and was a good car tbh.1.4 would be a bit slow.
The Tdi mk3s are no bad.With a tuning box they go good.

They are bad, although it strangely got 44mpg how ever I drove it!! caining it around town or going gentle on the Motorways!

out of the 4 choices, definately the BMW. A white e46 coupe = perfection.

providing the beemers not a shitter, or with bits needing replacing go for that. wont be cheap to fix if it goes wrong compared to the others
