I WANT!!!!

They are great fun. Personally i think that it would look good painted matt black. Also the 200 tdi are a good engine.

A mate had a series II That was made to look like a defender (Different front end, dash etc) and had a 200 tdi fitted, which was lifted had winches fitted and bull bars. The thing was great. The cambelt went on it, and he managed to replace it and re-do the bent valves and a new water pump for under £80. People say they are expensive for parts, But if you can find a landrover enthusiast place (Like my mate did) parts are cheap.

Heres a couple of pics of his.

The best part about it though, His was tax exempt, So it was a lot cheaper to run.

Here they are

Didn't look too bad going in.

Then it sank

Tried to pull it out forwards, But it didn't want to move

So had to put a strap around the rear chassis leg and pull it out backwards, As there was no rear towing eye or tow bar on.

This is what pulled it out. Look at the ship air horn on the roof of it

This was the first time that he got it stuck. The last time before he sold it, it got stick nose first at toms farm after going down a steep slope and the front end digging in!

When he sold it, he stripped it back to standard looking (took off lift kit, wheels, snorkel, winch, bull bars etc). Think he got close to £2000 for it, Then sold all the bits and made more money back. He didn't pay much for it in the first place, as it needed work (new rear crossmember, seats and removing the window sides out of the rear).

He sold it to a bloke around the corner from him so he could transport his birds of prey around, Last i heared it got nicked and never found.

£3600 sounds a good price. Seen a few that have gone for a lot more than that with the same parts on. Still looking out for something to play with myself.

There used to be a disco around here with the rear chopped on it.

Best thing about the 90's aswell is when you pass annother on the road, They nearly always wave back to you. We had it going to Ellesmere port once, They where even doing it from the other side of the motorway.

Plus when we passed everyone they were turning around looking at us because of the noise that came off the tyres on the road, The look on some of their faces was priceless

Front end of my vit after going through a larage 'puddle'

Said puddle was pretty deciving tbh

Then it got even deeper, and that 90 couldnt get through after about 4 attempts (it was really jacked up, and mine made it through - all bit it looksing its spot lights and grill)
