I've tried google, but its only bringing up US sites,
Im looking for 2 wheels, 5x100, around 13-15" but thin as possible, to go on a mates car for the 1/4mile strip,
Can anyone point me to some shops?

What car are they for? Surely for drag strip they need to be nice and wide?

why would you want thin wheels? wouldnt it be better if they were wide wheels ? as means more surface contact should = more grip

be for the rear of the car. less drag etc as thinner tyres so less contact with the road on the back.
space savers not do it? ideally you want larger diameter thinner wheels on the back and raise the back end as high as possible.

Bingo! Except can't find anything in 5x100, as VAG seem to put full size spares in these days

how much difference will thinner rear wheels make in reality on a normal car. None whatsoever.

on a drag strip it will. less resistance will equal a faster time. if its faster by .2 of a second, its still faster. this is the aim of drag racing. again your post proves you just dont grasp the concept of the threads you choose to post in john.

How much for a pair of drag spec tyres? Ideally it shouldn't cost more to do that than any other mod which also yields the same advantage.

It is a road car, but he goes to Santa Pod, Shakespear and York a lot. It won't be driven on the road with the thin wheels on.

Most places say ring them, but I think its around £100 for the pair, but they will last for years

its a short amount of tarmac to race on. to get quicker times you have to be a bit anal once you have got it currently as fast as you can. it will have an effect on the times so everything is worth trying.

if want i think i could get you a link to some ERCO spun allloy wheels we use on the aircooled vw beetles, can get them in 3inch wide and being VW PCD i dont think you would have a problem fitting them and you can get them in any offset iirc
