My policy jumped from under £300 last year to over £500 this year?

Normally it goes up a bit but after a phone call or new quote it goes back down again but this time every quote is more than last year

It's because overall it is running at a loss, rates have to increase. It's just business.

I was/still am insured through HIC on the Scirocco. They have told me they won't be renewing.

Having so much trouble finding another company who will actually give me cover for anywhere near the price I paid last year. Its ridiculous!

I got my insurance cheaper again this year and I eventually managed to find a company that would give me driving other cars under 25.

Mine was £480 on the Ibiza Cupra (group 16), but then when the renewal came Aviva wanted £600 to insure a group 10 (?) MK4 1.8 petrol Astra Cab. Even though I had a claim free year, got a year older, changed to a less powerful lower group car, and gained another years NCB.

So, a quick search and MoreThan sorted me out at £380.

It cost more money if I put down my car is parked on the driveway instead of the street

We also found out that this year it costs extra to add my dad who has been driving umpteen years, has max no claims and no crashes/convictions but doesn't cost to add me who is a lot younger onto my brothers insurance they must have random number generators.
