ye the sports standard atm. going to prepare it for doing night events tho. What could i do to the corsa to get it abit closer to the clio for acceleration then (cheaply)? final drive out of a diesel box? cant change the inlet manifold tho as it would stop me from being able to compete

in all honesty i think it will be virtually impossible without spending a lot of money on the 1.6 to make it accelerate like the clio does.

best and cheapest mod you can do

Id have thought a clio valver wouldnt be too far off the pace of an XE corsa tbh.

I'd say even a Williams would be beaten in a straight line off a healthy XE Corsa tbh.

And Kev S, what are these night events you're wanting to get it sorted for?

night event is a rally on country roads with off road sections too. probly is better for me that the corsa is that much slower as the clio scares the life outta me on those roads. way to quick for me anyway

forgive me as i may be wrong. but a clio williams weighs pretty much 1000kg's i think its just a fraction under? now the heaviest corsa with air con and electric everything book weight is 960. so say it was a healthy xe corsa, 10bhp more than the williams and in one of the lighter ls shells. the williams is less powerful and heavier.

I'm pretty sure Williams I's are 150bhp like the Corsa. But on topic, a Valver will absolutely obliterate a Sport. And it's unfortunate you can't change the most restrictive part. Get a set of cams, 4-2-1 and system on it for a couple more ponies.

Hmm i always thought the Clio was less than 7 to 60 and weighed about 960kg.150bhp.

Nic,dosnt the heaviest Corsa come in at around 1050kg?Then the weight of an XE on top.

I really dont know what the outcome would be,im curious though.
