Getting a new car, going for either a Mk3 Astra GSi or a Mk4 Golf GTi 1.8 Turbo. If i get the golf will re-map it to 195-210bhp from r-tech.

you will still struggle to see more than 210 BHP on a KO3s on just a map

At APR they had a ibiza with FMIC,etc etc and they could not see over 225 BHP to 230 BHP

I'd say golf but I'm biased

Aj - What engine code is yours? If its an AUM it more than likely has a Ko3s but as said they're still only good for about 210 on just a map.

they are close to vxr and St's. Will also be close with an r32/s3 until higher figs from a rolling start due to the extra weight they carry due to the haldex system. Standing start they'll lead though.

Aj - I had the exact same engine and turbo in my Ibiza cupra and the same mods and I couldnt keep up with my mates old standard VXR. If yours does then it must have more done to it or the VXR is shit lol

Mk3 GSi - If you can find one tidy enough

Mk4 Golfs are IMO fast becoming boring and common. Thats not including the R32 though...

Would love the R32 and suprisingly is not bad to insure but to buy the car is way out of my price range

Lots of 1.8t reps about though. And can be just as fast if not faster for alot less.
