I have no fillings and my teeth are really good and I've never had a problem with hot or cold.
About 4 days ago they suddenly went really sensative to hot and cold.. A class of water or a mug of hot tea would be agony and my whole jaw felt sore but today is stopped? I can drink boiling hot tea and bite into an ice cube without so much as a twinge?
WTF?

On a serious note though I have had a cold since christmas and my sinus's have been blocked at night meaning I've been sleeping with my food hole open, I wonder if my teeth dried out or something?

so its not just me then, its bloody sensitive for days after for me when I drink cider (the worst, haven't drank it for ages) or vodka and boost or coke or something sugary.
Beer doesn't seem to affect as much.

Dont say stuff like that my teeth are the only thing I get squismish about!
I had 6 teeth out as a kid due to over-crowding and I cant stand dentists

You might need a filling or extraction? I had the exact same problem a few months ago - had to have one wisdom tooth removed, and the other opposite one had to have a filling.

Next time you get the pain, try and work out whereabouts it's coming from as if you go to a dentist they will ask you this.
I bet you do have wisdom teeth and that is what's causing the problems.

Have you had a nightmare recently?
Tense moments could cause you to grind your teeth at night, which sometimes causes pain and aches.
