How old are you with no NCB and no license experience?
I'd say don't go any higher than something like a Corsa 1.2 16v SXi.

How long will it take you to save the money for a newer car?personally I'd go for something cheap and cheerful for a first car.

Had a 306, it died though.
Sold to a mate, he fixed it and sold it on.
Don't know how long it will take to save the money but, bank loan seems quite suitable for me.
What kind of car you got in mind though, danny?

Don't know, just something cheap for a year until you have 1yncb, fuck a loan off too just save for that first year. That's what I would do anyway.

You have a valid idea. I won't dispute it. However, I have no idea whatsoever with cars and if they break down I cba fixing them [and neither would I want to pay some fatty to do it] ...

You can still buy cheap, reliable cars. Yes, I own a french car but it hasn't let me down once in the 2k miles I've done since I've owned it (touch wood) and I only paid £750 for it.

If you are considering a loan, don't bloody bother.
I bought my 12v for £1800 back in September of 2006 on 59k miles.
It's now on 101k miles and has only cost routine maintenance plus a clutch.
It goes to show what £2k gets you in terms of the reliability stakes for a first car, so long as you get a good one that has been looked after.

New cars are hassle anyway, imo. They're a lot more hassle than older cars in some way, the Renault Modus for example, you want to change a bulb in one you have to take the wheel, arch lining, 3 screws holding bumper on in the corner, 2 on top of bumper and then there's 3 scres holding the light on underneath it to get it out. Who the fuck thought that was a good idea?I hate new cars.

Don't you have to drop the front bumper for Corsa C's as well? It's mental these days

On mine it's 2 clips and the bulb is out fuck trying to change one at the side of the road on one of them. The thing with new cars for me is that there's far too much to go wrong, we have far more newer cars in work with problems than old.
