If I'm in a 30 zone in a built up area I'll stick to 30-35mph. If I'm in a 40 limit that's got nothing but trees at the side of the road then if I want to go faster I do.

Drive to the conditions and you can't go wrong.

Coming up behind other cars and no overtaking opportunities slow me down, I go as fast as I can before braking otherwose.
