They phased them out before your time though jimbo. I had to put up with Harrier GR7s
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

You can't beat standing 15 feet from a eurofighter on full afterburner though. makes that jet drag car sound like it's turned off.

Fast jets were pretty in the 50 and 60's and got progressively worse from assethics point of view

I envy you slightly, I have a MEGA fetish for fighter jets, working on them must be awesome, shame I'm colour "deficient" (colour blind on a mild level) so I cant join the RAF and work on jets

Pretty cool.
I know for a fact I'd be sick every where should I go in a jet! I can't handle rollercoasters, race tracks so that would get pretty messy

I like the phantom, its the only good thing that America had in the Vietnam war
But for me, there will never be a better plane than the F14 Although back in the late 80's when the F22 was still in testing, that was so advanced and sexual. Looks a little plain now though.
F15 never really appealed to me (funny as similar to F14). F1, again, wasn't keen, and F18 had too long a tailpipes
F14 ftw. PLus those moving wings, HUGE armour capabilities. Oh and in Top Gun as a brucey bonus
