What's the general opinion of these?

I think they look wicked, be nice if they made a 3 door but the amount of 'toys' in them is unbelievable. Take a look in the "Interior/Exterior" part on the autotrader ad.

They were the fastest hatch when the came out. Very nice to drive and come well specced. The downside is £400 to tax

Awesome cars, would love one if I didn't do the miles. As said, downside is £440 tax but running them apparently isn't as expensive as you think. Very quick but when just pottering around economy is quite good due to HUGEEE engine in small car.

Is it only me who thinks they look wank?

Would much rather an Astra VXR or Focus ST. Both far better looking imo.

Seems cheap for an 09 car with that spec and only 5,000 miles?

Really like them - quite a sleeper tbh too.

Spec is considering price tag etc - would definitely own one. And being Jap it theoretically should go on forever and not really break lol.

I like them, but I would have to put some touches to it to make it more individual as it looks a touch too much like a normal non-sporty model.

Big brakes/exhaust/wheels.

Is that the I/C on top of the engine??Surely that wouldnt be very good seeing as theres not much way of cold air getting to it.

i got driven around thruxton in one of these by a professional tutor and it was immense.

stuck to the road like glue, sounded great and really gave you neck pain when the turbo spooled up.

i'd buy one definitely. focus underpinnings and thats a decent car.

Yes.

There is a moulded scoop in the underbonnet insulation/deadening that channels air from the top of the Grille. It is suprisingly efficient.

I love these, went for a new shape one as my new car for work, got rejected

I have a new Mazda6 Sport instead, here in a week.

The spec is very good for the price, but that is the same throughout the whole Mazda range TBH, not just the top models. The top models just seem to have everything and no options.

I also agree with the earlier comment about getting the 'Sports Aero' one, as this has slightly different skirts (i think), a larger rear spoiler for increased downforce and also lower suspension, as standard.

I work at a Mazda dealer and i am very impressed with Mazdas in general. Such a nice place to be, and the MPS is such an underrated car. Very fast, solid and feel very planted.

I love the fact that they dont look anything like an Astra VXbox or Focus ST.

Go for a test drive. You'll love it.

Very nice cars, lovely interior and sounds superb on boost. They are near impossible to tune tho. This is my mates one with the aero pack on the rollers at Star Performance last year.
