. . .another thread by me to bore people.
How much do you think I'd get trade in on the 12v at either a garage or franchised dealer (Mazda garage selling a Fiat)?
102k miles.
12v GLS
2000 W-reg
Full service history. Documented last 42k miles.
Timing chain done although starting to get noisey again.
1 months MOT.
Am I daft for hoping for more than £500 trade in against a £5500 car?

How many miles has it actually done? I reckon £500 is do-able. Times are hard, people are willing to do as much as possible to sell cars.

I'd go in wanting more than £500 to be honest, might aswell try for the best. Don't forget they could offer you £1000 and still have a killing in the Punto.

I won't let on what I want. I'll let them walk around, go 'ummm, ahhhh' and if they say more than £500, I'd be a bloody happy bunny.
Don't suppose your dad's garage has a Grande Punto in stock, does it?!

Depends what the margin is on the car and what way they want to make you think you've got a good deal.

As tempting as it is, it's an 8v and non-Sporting.
