Today Scaffolders have been next door, erected the shit + hit our fucking SKY Dish. Now its out of alignment + Sky want £65 for them to come and move it as i dont know how long the scaffolding is going to be up for.
I got in at half 3 not realising until Half 6/quarter-7 when i went to turn the TV on for our Youngest who goes to sleep Listening to the Baby channel.
Sounds silly really as its only a TV. **If i was on my own id find something else to do**
But my daughter is (ALREADY) having a bad night and crying her eyes out + fussing in bed. Not only that, today's Lost *Season 5 Repeat* (that i have NOT seen) will not have recorded + i could be out of luck with tomorrows one.
PLUSSS!!!! Season 6 Starts tomorrow night!
Sorry for rant.
Where do i stand?

Surely the scaffolders would have to pay?

Yeah just move it yourself Just like an aerial...Look at the other dishes in the street/next door for guidence.
Orrrrrrr do it the hard way and get yourself a satelite signal tester from Screwfix etc and fix up a male to female lead out of coax....
Maybe not hey

My neighbour is nice, but it's her housing company that are doing the work.

Its not hard to realign, have someone in front of tv whilst you move the dish. Its very precise though so it can go off if moved even a fraction.

Bit of a poor show your child needing the TV on to go to sleep tbh. I'd be asking the scaffolders to pay for the damage too tbh.

She isn't very well matey.
she likes it just before she goes to sleep as it calms her down lol (she does not have ADHD) she just see's Me 'Daddy' as being there to have fun with so when its time to go to sleep she just wants to play.

Yup move it yourself - by far the easiest and cheapest solution!

Sorry, shouldn't comment without knowing the full story.
Like John said, get the scaffolders to move it for you tomorrow morning seeing as it's their mistake and do a rescan.

do it yourself, bit of trial and error, shouldn't take you long, be cheaper to buy your own sat signal meter than call sky out I expect

FPMSL, you're the first one to have a go when anyone mentions anything about your kids (referring back to someone saying about the amount of xmas presents she got) yet doing it yourself now

Its easy. Go into your sky services on your box and you can see the signal quality and strength. Move it slowly until you pick up both signals. Job done.
My Dad has to do it whenever they take sky with them in the caravan

You just need a mate to go up on the roof () and get him to move it about while you're on the phone to him watching the signal strength as described....
