finaly it is my turn to make one of these threads
after a few weeks of hunting, and changing my mind i have finally made a purchase
i initially wanted a 1.8 astra coupe
then my brother put the idea of a mk4 astra cabriolet into my head. after looking at around 8 of these, i came to the conclusion that the majority of people who bought these cars from new were clearly paying no attention when driving as every single one had clearly had quite a bit of paint work done (one or two had at least 3/4s of the car resprayed ) many of these were 05 - 55 plates.
anyway, after looking at 3 or 4 i made a final purchase yesterday, and i am so glad i decided on this car
a 58 plate Corsa D SRI Turbo, only covered 7k not quite a year old yet neither pick it up on friday and i cannot wait
i know the D isn't to everyones taste, but let me know what you think
edit:" used wrong smiley

i would have loved to get the VXR but insurance did not allow
just out of interest, did he just map it straight to 207? or did he put an aftermarket exhaust on?

ive heard so many stories that dump valves decrease the performance of a car and they don't benefit unless they are running silly power?
i'd be well happy to get it mapped straight to 207 without any other mods

what kind of stories you heard mate. i know the vxr engines tap when squeezing quite a bit more power out of them due to the under piston oil sprays?
shouldn't imagine running this up to around 220 bhp would be a problem though? vxrs are standard 197 or something aren't they?

Drop me a PM to remind me what you have and I'll advise you of any new stuff you need to get. Shouldn't need to alter too much
