It's been wrecked.Fair enough he has converted it to a turbo model but not only has he not registered the engine change with the dvla but he has actually made it look shit.
Heres pics from when i had it (no leathers,fogs,lowered suspension or wheels)
to this (7 months later)

There is something just a little bit cool about these, my mates brother used to have a 1.8 one in purple flip paint, lowered on 18's. Looked good in 2005

"this coupe is down as a 1.6 on the log book but has the 220 turbo engine and all the runnin gear i was usein the car every day but the cambelt snapped so i bought a rover coupe turbo with no tax or mot and took all the turbo parts of it and fitted it on the 1.6 coupe so its basically a turbo with the 1.6 insurance. the car has had a lot of money and time spent on it. ive conveted the back brakes from drum to disk the car now has abs. this has not bin a rushed job or bodged its bin done probaly usen all turbo parts and propa wierin loam it will fire up every time first time and runs nice its got a baileys dump valve fitted and it sounds spot on and very loud the car has a oval back box on it had to change it because the boar of the 1.6 one was to fin.the car gas full cream leather and has the newer dash board witch u see in the mgs the car has little bits of rust on the rear back arches but nothin major its solid underneath with this done the car would be a realy nice motor."

I think it's his lack of spelling ability that has pissed me off.He doesn't mention none of the good parts i put on it
It mainly annoys me that he hasn't declared the engine swap

There was a post on her ages ago where it was debated and the conclusion was that "Tomcat" was just some ghey slang.
A Tomcat is an F14 ffs
Did Rover give it that designation, did they have a badge on the back saying tomcat?
