Well after nearly 2 whole weeks and a lot of hard work (and money) we have done it most main bits of the house are done now...Bathroom/Kitchen and now this.
Here goes......A but pic heavy but hey ho
I think were gonna miss the wood floor when we first walk in but we'll get used to taking our shoes off at the door etc.

That wood floor was lush (looked it in the pictures anyway) but I bet it was cold and draughty? How much lighter is that area now though?! Looks really good and well worth the effort. That mirror is nice as well, mind if I ask where from?

Looks good, liking the light switches.
When we moved in, we looked around the showhouse in our street and they had tiled floor in the entrance hallway, and it seemed pretty wierd; like why would you have tiles in your hallway?
But after having cream carpet in ours, now we know. Going to get it tiled once the carpet is completely fucked.

Our new build has a 'barrier' carpet, really hard wearing thing that we can leave shoes on, doesnt look that either, the practicalities outweigh the downsides.
You might have to invest in a carpet cleaner though, because that entrance carpet will need doing after every winter!
And I missed the lightswitches on the first glance through, mirrored

Cheers guys
Danny the mirror was from Wilkinsons believe it or not! It was in the dining room so we moved it into the hall..we have a bigger version in the lounge.
In regards to the wood floor maybe we made the wrong decision in ditching it but time will tell, we might in the future put some in from the bottom of the stairs across to the right.
Oh and i'm a Spark so only the best switches for us Crabtree black nickel

Also the reason for the grey carpet was so it 'Flowed' into the kitchen which looks like this...
There's no door on the kitchen so it looks nice

Twiggy, I think I would rather have a tall and thin door that I could go in sideways than a short and fat door
The bathroom is also amazing. As Pop and Nath said, you have a very nice house

In regards to the door it isn't that small TBH just looks that way in the pic..it's only for access to the water heater and all the ale
