In-between rain showers and during some rain I used a whole bunch of new products on the car today. Big props to Rich for hooking me up with most of this stuff
I washed it as normal but used a new Dodo Juice Supernatural wash mitt. It literally will hold half a bucket of water, so it can be quite heavy
Then clayed with Bilt Hamber clay and Dodo Born Slippy. Then it started raining a bit so finished that off quickly and started on the wheels. Used whatever wheel cleaning stuff it was that Rich sent me along with two brushes and they came up very well. Then it started pouring which turned into hail Had to leave it for a while so came in and had a pizza while watching Top Gear, and went outside again. Dried it all off then it rained again Went back inside for a bit, sun came out so went back out and it was pretty much ok from then on in. Waxed two panels and then it started raining again so sealed the wheels, they really do look good now Just need taking off to get at them properly. Wanted to today but couldn't get the bolt covers off Also used whatever tyre shine Rich sent me
Used a panel pot of Purple Haze wax that I bought to try it out, and I must say I'm very impressed with the results. Did a 50/50 on the bonnet (no pics) and you can actually see the difference. It's good stuff.
After that it was the usual window going over and then hoovered the interior
Anyway, if anyone is still awake, finished pics:

I need some new clay for after winter. what do you think of that stuff?
Ive only used the megs stuff until now.
Mine shouldnt be too bad. just need clay, new drying towel and some more quick detailer. Already have the rest and I begrudge spending too much on a cheap french car like mine

I think the clay did pretty well Gavin, it was a bit easier to work with than my old Dodo Gentle Grey because it's a lot softer. It got stuck to my fingers when I started using it, it's pretty sticky!
Cheers Ben I can't stand it when it's dirty You'll be looking for time when you use the Puma!
Btw, please excuse the random boxers in the first pic, didn't realise they were there until after I posted the thread

Any particular reason you used born slippy with the clay bar? BH reccomend using water as a lubricant 'cus autoclay is specially designed so it doesn't need any special lubricants like most other clays.

You can just use water but the Born Slippy is convenient because you can have it in your other hand and spray it as you go along so there's never a dry bit. I find that when I'm claying there are some bits of the car that stay wet whereas by the time I get round the other side for example it's all dry again and it's just easier to spray that than hose it all a few times.
Plus when I bought my last clay bar Rich was selling Dodo ones and said I needed it

That's fine, but I already had the Born Slippy. I only got this new clay on Monday whereas I've had the Born Slippy stuff for months.
