If it's still on the original turbo, they must be doing something right.

Thats what I thought Im told it had the HG done at 80k, and the turbo was inspected at the time and it was fine.

if you want it, buy it. Dont let people on internet make the decision for you if they havent seen the car.

I wouldn't worry about the mileage, not if it's looked after and got the history to back it up. A 100k+ mile car can sound, run and look better than a car with half the mileage so it's no indication of how good the car is.

Mileage means fcuk all nowadays tbh IMO, especially if the car comes with a folder full of history.

Well that's what I thought, its been owned by the same middle aged man since brand new, and mountains of receipts. Well below the going rate for them too, guy had already bought a new car so is just sitting on the drive.
Picture I was sent of it:

That red one is yum.
I've been looking at a Black one for sale in Brizzle for the Missus and I, she would use it during the week, me at weekends. It's not the tidiest though, so won't be getting more info on it

Only had 14k or something when he traded it in for a Astra VXR. Had it from brand new. Its amazing how much cheaper they are in comparison to the GSI's, identical engine, if you can live without the bodykit and recaros then its the ideal choice. £600 less for me to insure aswell.

I prefer the SRi-T Kit TBH.
Could always retrofit Recaros too.
The insurance differences are the bit appeal though, and the slightly cheaper buying prices...

Sri-t's are really nice cars. Im actually starting to prefer them over gsi's but the interior really puts me off, ive never sat in one but they just look really spongy, i know they probably arnt though. I think you should go for it, just fit a vxr turbo when that one goes pop.

When looking at it look out for jubilee clips all having the same wear, boost pipe intact. This will show if its maybe had a boost pipe and dv on it or if its maybe had either an induction kit or different airbox on. Also look for rust on doors aswell.
