its my girlfriends party tonight and im stuck with the job of sorting the music, im currently downloading all the music shes into im just going to make a playlist and hook my laptop upto the system. but i dont have a program to play the music apart from windows media player and thats hardly the program to use as it has breaks between the tracks and its impossible to mix it right

if it was upto me i would have the 1210`s out and slam some DnB vinyl on and get mixing the proper way

i dont think that would go down too well though.

I used to use a program called tractor dj i think but god knows where i got that from or where its gone

any suggestions welcome

why not just use itunes? From what you've said you won't be mixing, just leaving it playing so that'd be fine.

Drag a track onto each deck. Turn the volume up on deck 1, and down on deck two. Pull the crossfader onto deck one. Hit play on both tracks, then click the sync button on deck two, this will beatmatch the tracks.
To mix the tracks, take the volume on deck 2 about half way up, then pull the crossfader over to deck 2 slightly. Raise the volume to full, then drag the crossfader along.
Thats just the basics, play around a bit to get a feel for it. Its all very easy.

Ive only DJ'ed (using real decks) once, so i thought fuck it and just downloaded this. Only had a lil play coz im bored but its quite good tbh. If your sound card supports multi channel i.e. has support for 5.1etc you can set it up so that the rear channel (blue on the sound card) outputs the headphones so can cue up the next song etc

Ive "acquired" it tonight, and it all works fine and dandy.
Just need to follow the install instruction in the readme.txt.
I acquired from TPB.
