Two threads in one weekend, who'd have thought?

Anyway, after the departure of the B yesterday it was time to clean the C today. After a normal quick wash it was finally time to get the wheels off while the weather was good and get them looking good. In all I think it took about 4 hours, but that includes the jacking up/down and removing/fitting wheels etc.

All these pics are of the first one I did (o/s front) but should have taken pics of the second one because it was far dirtier and came up better Oh well.

Before I started:

Aggravated with warm water and Dodo shampoo using a kitchen sponge:

Then I sprayed on wheel cleaner and frustrated it with a 1" brush:

It didn't quite get off as much as I wanted it to so annoyed the cleaner again:

Then clayed with Bilt Hamber clay and Dodo Born Slippy:

Washed off and dried:

Lastly, sealed with Poorboy's Wheel Sealant:

Not forgetting the fronts that were given a quick wipe over because I clayed/sealed them last week:

In between each stage they were hosed and dried. On the last two wheels I used AG Intensive Tar Remover after claying which helped a lot. Didn't think to use it on the first two

There's still some seriously stubborn dirt on them (and one of them seems to have chewing gum on the inside ) but they will all be refurbed soon so that'll sort that out.

Yep It made a good difference though, you can see the flake now There was LOADS of tar on them too.

Yeah mate they're staying silver, they're all slightly kerbed which is why I'm getting them done

it bothered me in the focus as you could see the difference when inside and outside were cleaned as opposed to just the outside.

did you take the suspension out and clean that weekly too? I can handle tar and grime on the inside of my wheels but mud on my suspension is a no no

Cheers Ben, yeah I do

I could see it

The whole point in doing it was because I wanted to get sealant on the insides and it's no good putting it on top of dirt is it
