Right,

What is the best paintwork friendly and easiest method of drying a car post wash? I don't mind going out and buying something from Halfords etc if it means I'm not gunna be left with a streaky/spotted car!

To get most of the water off after hosing it down , use a watering can and pour water over it. Sounds daft but it takes the bulk of the water off , then just chamois it

either that or take the attatchment off your hose so its just a steady stream of water coming fromthe hose , rinse from roof downward

But on my lovely red car with chrome detail that leaves streaks and spotting. I live in a fairly hard water area...

Got what ollie posted and its amazing. So quick and easy to dry a car with no risk or scratching it


Just order it and dont wash it until wednesday or something when it arrives

Drives supercharged Tec with torque

After washing my car, I let it roughly dry, then apply polish and take it off with a micro fibre cloth. Never left with any streaks or marks

Polishing your car everytime you wash isn't right though.

I was my car once a week normally, I can't be fagged with that

I use a Meguiars synthetic chamois, loads better than real leather.

Should also get some of this to use after you have washed it to aid with the drying

I always take mine for a run after i wash it, Usually just around the block a couple of times.

Gets most of the water off then either polish it or just a quick run over with one of them synthetic chamois.

I have one of these. It's about 2 years old so doesn't work. Waiting for the summer to get new stuff but can't fault the drying towels. Much better and easier than a chamoix.

I just bought some auto glym aqua wax kit. 2 free microfibre cloths, and the aqua wax, wash the car spray off the suds, squirt the aqua wax on, buffer in with one of the microfibres wipe excess off with the other. Works really well aqua wax, quick and easy and does work as a wax so does keep most stuff off!
