I thought that was over with now, i didnt think fords have rust issues anymore, not since the focus and mk6 fiesta have been around.

get a grip nob head, you're about 10 years out of date...

by mk7 1.4 do you mean the new shape? or the mk6 facelift shape? a some people refer to those as mk7's.

the 1.6 zetec s is the model to get in the newest shape. 125bhp and very good handling.

nothing special though.

i've had 2 fords from brand new, my dads had over 10, my mums had a fair few and they never had any more rust than any other normal car?

my puma has one tiny little bit next to the n/s door where water gets trapped, none at all underneath.

my corsa (which was the same age) had shit loads underneath.

treat a car like shit and it will go rusty.

and the 2 new fords had no rust at all.

you need to get with the times and stop thinking about the past.

so all fords are like that? keep it clean and treat it well and it won't go rusty.

my brothers corsa c has rust on it, therefore that must mean every vauxhall past and present is shit and rusty?

I'm sure most new fords are ok, I thought puma's (I know they aren't new) are well known for having rust issues?

yes they are known for the wheel arches rusting, but mine haven't, probably because it's been kept clean and not allowed mud and salt to eat away at the metal.
