i have bought a set of speedlines that have had about 10 coats of paint all diff colours. i was guna get them sand blasted but have been told if nafs the alloys up? so any help or suggestions would be grate sorry about the spelling

burn the paint off by putting the wheels in a fire bin.

had mine acid dipped before they were refurbed, it really is worth the money paying someone with all the equipment/knowledge.

nitro mourse mate , and get some brass brush sets for a drill and it just rips the paint off them, every set of alloys iv re-furbed thats what iv done takes it back to bare alloy quick and easy mate just make sure when using the drill and the brass brushes please wear goggles lol because it burns mate lol hope this helped

it is if its on your skin mate it burns lol i just put a thick jumper on some goggles and a scarlf to cover my mouth and ears and a thcik hats lol looks stupid and you sweat while doing it but ow well it does the job mate, all i done was get a old cup tip some in get a paint brish and just paste it on pritty thick and let it bubble then leave for couple of mins and just blast it off with the brass brushes, then repeat until its down to the bear alloy

I just rubbed mine down with sandpaper or wire stuff and primered them up and sprayed them.

nitromoors is a right pain in the arse, trust me, if they have lots of layers you will be left with a gooey mess and only half the paint removed, then you spend ages trying to sand all the different levels out

the brass brushes make light work of that mate took me like 10mins a wheel

Get them blasted if they are painted or stripped with acid if it's powder coat. Nitromors'ing them seems like a good idea until you actually try to do it and realise it's a very labour intensive job to get them in good enough nick for paint.

ill try and get some pics of the ones iv done in the past for my saxo they dident take me long at all the wheels i had aswell had loads of layers of paint and still dident take me long at all i had them all done and primerd at the end of the day

Could use acid on paint too, but blasting powder coat off usually means you need to use pretty harsh media. Probs depends on the guy doing it too
