was pretty good..
built a test "street" in a MOD base and exploded a 25kg and a 500kg bomb near the buildings to simulate what the Blitz would have been like
plus had lots of WW2 footage

next time they will be using the 1000kg bomb and even mentioned using a V2 !

Yeah, thought it was pretty good.

The 500kg bomb made a right mess.. the slow mo afterwards was brilliant.

God knows what the 1000kg bomb will do!!

Most of its fuel to get it to its location though. The warhead itself isn't massive.

Now think of those Russians who setoff that nuke on one of their islands at half the nuclear load they were going to originally use, and it went off big time. I'll google it if you want. Crazy stuff!!!

What on Earth are you talking about? Accuracy for the time was good, it was more to do with failed launches that more weren't launched.

The V2 managed to kill 7,000 people in a short space fot ime.

im not talking about launches you pratt im talking about the guidance systems, they kept getting confused and turning around, the technology for the time was fantastic but it was still as innacurate as fuck

quote:
The V-2 lacked a proximity fuse, so it could not be set for air burst; it buried itself in the target area before or just as the warhead detonated. This reduced its effectiveness. Furthermore its guidance systems were too primitive to hit specific targets, and its costs were approximately equivalent to four-engined bombers, which were more accurate (though only in a relative sense), had longer ranges, carried many more warheads, and were reusable. Moreover, it diverted resources from other, more effective programs. Nevertheless, it had a considerable psychological effect as, unlike bombing planes or the V1 Flying Bomb, which made a characteristic buzzing sound, the V-2 traveled faster than the speed of sound, with no warning before impact and no possibility of defense.

That was the V1 you fucking pratt.

The V2 flew out high into the atmosphere, cut engines and slammed into the ground at around Mach 2
