Another big thanks to jr for the referral on this!

Another enhance and protect detail today saw me tackling this ebony black Audi RS6 Avant.

No befores, just a couple during to give you an idea of correction, and a couple of afters. Back to my poor attempts at photography today too I'm afraid!

Pre Rinse: VP Snowfoam Combo
Wash: AS Duet, RD Wash Mitt, TBM, Gritguards
Wheels: AS G101 (recently refurbed by Lepsons anyway so not horrendous) later sealed with Jetseal
Tyres & Arches: AS G101. Tyres later dressed with VP Pro Dressing and buffed off
Clay: BH Soft with weak AS Reglaze as lube
Enhancement: 3M Extra Fine with 3M Yellow Pad
Refinement: Dodo Lime Prime with top secret diamond cut pad (in testing to possibly launch as my own pad)
Wax: 2 x coats of AS Wax
Glass: Nielsens Blue
Exhausts: Britemax twins and wire wool
Door shuts: AS Tango
Interior: Hoovered, Plastics wiped down with AS Multifresh and a magic sponge, then dressed with AS Finish
Leather: Nielsens Leather Lux
Mats: Nielsens Nap Low Foam and George

Think that's all!

A little way off correction levels, but pretty damn good for an enhancement:

Few finished pics:

Back there tomorrow to do their A3

Cheers for looking. Comments, questions and constructive criticism welcome as per usual :thumb:

I knew you'd be along James!!

Cheers chaps. Long old day - Left the house at 6.45am and got in at 7.30. Took 16 hours between the 2 of us (dragged the old man along on his birthday lol)

Could be interesting going solo on the A3 tomorrow!

No worries mate!

Erm, dual action I imported 4 years ago from America and took to that within a weekend. Rotary I started using 3 years or so ago and took me about a week to master. It's also gaining a knowledge of suitable techniques as well as pad & polish combo's etc

Yeh it's alright isn't it! Speaking to him about it a bit today as he was working from home. He filled it up with V Power on Wednesday - at a cost of £107 And that gets him 300 miles if driven carefully

Still, that noise

i never fail to be impressed by your work, rich!

have you been on any courses or is this all self taught, just with the aid of researching the internet?

Cheers Ben!

All self taught - started off when I first imported my porter cable from America about 4 years ago, long before the Megs G220 and Kestrel were about lol. Attacked my car after a couple of scrap panels, then mates cars, mates of mates etc, which is when I started considering the business!

Rotary work came shortly before I set up RD, but I didn't start using a rotary of customers cars for almost another 6 months or so when I was confident with it

As for use of chemicals etc, all down to practising and testing on my vehicles - nothing gets used on a clients car until I have tested it extensively myself to check I'm happy with it

Random question, but on the picture of the seats, the bottom part of the seat (the knee support or whatever it is) has a massive gap between that and the main bit of the seat.

Surely it gets full up with all sorts of crap like that?

Yeah, it does - well did in Dad's M3 anyway. Loads of dust and crumbs.

Yeh the knee support. Yes they do get full of crap, but I open it out and clean it. Then leave it out to show that it's been done. An area a lot of valeters seem to miss!

i had those extenable bits on my recaros in the focus. right pain in the arse for trapping dust, dirt and crumbs

they do retract, just on a level under the seat.

Few of the A3 from today. Same process as above, but 2 coats of Rainforest Rub as LSP, and full shampoo on interior.
