This may prove to be very hard!
Name your top 5 Singers, Guitarists, Bassists, Drummers (Can include Rhythm Guitarists & Keyboardist if you so wish)
Theretcially, all your number ones should form your personal super group.
I'm going to keep editing this post until I'm happy with it then I'll state if its my final of top 5's and ultimate line ups.
Singers:
James Dean Bradfield (Manic Street Preachers)
Ian Gillen (Deep Purple)
Freddy Mercury (Queen)
Dave Gahan (Depeche Mode)
Chris Cornell (Soundgarden)
Guitarists:
Eric Clapton (Cream)
James Dean Bradfield (Manic Street Preachers)
Jonny Marr (The Smiths)
Richie Blackmore (Deep Purple/Rainbow)
Bernerd Sumner (Joy Division/New Order)
Bassists:
Mani (Stone Roses/Primal Scream)
Flea (Red Hot Chilli Peppers)
John Deacon (Queen)
Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath)
John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin)
Drummers:
Reni (Stone Roses)
Keith Moon (The Who)
Roger Taylor (Queen)
John Bonham (Led Zeppelin)
Phil Collins (Genesis)
So, in theory, my Super-Group is:
Vocals & Guitar : James Dean Bradfield
Guitar : Eric Clapton
Bass : Mani
Drums: Reni
Still not sure, so line up and Top 5's may change.

What about song writer?
'd have Sven Vath on synth. Geezer from Ocean Colour Scene, Dave Grohl. Bez dancing. Napolean Dynamite dancing. Eric Clapton. Liam from Courteeners. I'd also get chemical brothers and daft punk involved. Sorted.

Singer: Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Freddie Mercury(Queen)
Guitar 1: Slash (G'n'R)
Guitar 2: Brian May (Queen)
Bass: Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
Drums: Steve Gadd, Tony Royster Jr., Chris Adler (Lamb Of God), Dave Grohl, Chad Smith, Jimmy Sullivan (aka The Rev Avenged Sevenfold R.I.P).
As you can see im more in to the drummers because i am one
To be honest i couldn't really say who was the best at anything as some people play easy things that fits the music really well but then other people slate them as being bad, it's all down to what style and who you prefer!

i used to think this but now i've grown to respect him. his sound and technique is instantly identifiable.
both him and slash have a way of singing through the guitar, so it would be an interesting coupling, imo.
here they are playing together (slash comes in halfway):

they have the same hair too

Hmm this is hard because my favourites wouldn't work together in a band.
Singers: Chino Moreno, Stevie Nicks, Dallas Green, Brandon Boyd, Chris Cornell
Guitar: Peter Green, Andy Mckee
Bass: Dirk Lance
Drums: Mr Jordison clearly.
I should probably mention that I'd like Moreno and Cornell back in their drugged up hazey days. Both have entirely fucked their voices by getting clean. Not good enough lads
