after getting quite burnt in the sun yesterday this has me wondering, some people when in the sun just go straight brown, others burn, for those who burn is there a way of not burning and just getting a good bronzing? Sunblock seems to stop the sun doing anything at all.

i go brown  last couple of days have left me lookin like ive just had a week in spain.
cant tell you why but i thought id rub it in a bit 
id suggest sun cream at a low factor like 5

yea most people are the same, i do go really brown but after a few days of looking like a lobster

Use something like factor 15-20 and don't put it on thick but not too thin either.
I burn but with factor 15-20 i go brown.

ive actually just spotted a patch of sunburn  about an inch sqaured on the top of my foot

I burn then go brown  I got burned yesterday when I was driving around in the mini with the top off, and I've got a big white strip where my seatbelt was

I got absoloutely fucking toasted yesterday
I had the shits from about 6pm right the way through till 7am  Felt really strange too, like i didnt know where i was or who i was. Proper odd.
So in short, wear suntan lotion as soon as you go out in it, not like an hour afterwards and go "oh yeah!"

i also burn then go brown.
i find using piz buin sun cream helps a lot. when i went to mallorca last summer i had a brilliant tan by using factor 20 piz buin, then going down to 12, then factor 8.
expensive though. we still have a bottle with the price tag on. 22.90 euro's  rip off.
also have some oil's, banana boat or something it's called. very good for a bronzing tan.

I usually go red, then turn brown. Face is brown, arms are brown but mt body and legs are white. Even though i had no top on and shorts for 2 weeks in mallorca!!!!

I had an arguement with my girlfriend a while ago about something like this. With other people going brown if you were the one person who stayed white and couldnt tan would you consider fake tan or sunbeds? I said it was the gayest thing ive ever heard but apparently a lot of lads do it.
