Went to fill the tank today & this is what they had advertised at the pumps.
I gather its the same stuff.....just a name change??
Bloke in the garage didnt know anything about it, just said oh yeah they were round changing the stickers on the pumps earlier but ive not been out for a look yet!! 
Stuck £140 of fuel in my car since Sunday

So glad I have a car that doesnt cost a tank of fuel just to start it now lol
I've never noticed the name change tbh, noticed the drop in price tho

I've budgeted £140 for fuel this month, just hoping it's enough. Should get me nearly 3 tanks Filled it up last night - £52 @ 102.9 36mpg though

Well I had to go to Aberdeen for a 20min apointment & back so pretty much gunned a tank in 5hrs. 2nd tanks still in the car so not so bad.

That's not bad. I go to the same Tesco's every time, especially this time as the needle was pointing to the lower of the two red lines That'd be why it took 52 quids worth then

You budget for fuel? Pfft, fuck that, when the light comes on, don't worry, another 80 miles yet. When it beeps and flashes at me, omnomnomnom about £53 oj juice she swallows, that looks after me for another week and a half?

I do 2300 miles a month, and fill up 4 times (41 litre tank). Sometimes I love my car.

For someone who is so anal about mpg, this has always struck me as odd.
budgeting a regular outgoing is not weird, its very sensible.

I don't care about my MPGs that much (I couldn't tell you what the Mito is doing at the moment), I just like to have an economical car that I use every day! I get to work just as fast in my car than I would in a 300bhp car...
I do still crave something a bit fast/different for the weekend (ooooohh sir).

Thorney Motorsport done tests on all the 'designer brand' fuels & said Tesco 99 was as good as Optimax.

Different cars may well respond differently to different fuels though. Afterall its all the same hydrocarbon's its just the additives that differ!!
