As of 8pm last night, we now have our first child, baby Phoebe Isabelle Venn.
We were called in at 8.30am for the wife to be induced, but luckily, she started having contractions in the car on the way.

By 10am, she was 3cm dialated, by 2pm she was 5-6cm dialated and by 5pm she was fully dialated and very fed up!
Creidt to her, she only had gas and air for about an hour, nothing else

Ive got to say, its a very strange experience, one the best and worst days of my life.
To have to watch your wife cry in pain for hours on end and not be able to do anything or patronise them, is unbelievably difficult.
Towards the end, it got slightly rushed and slightly brutal, a few cuts, slices and needles going in places I just didnt want to look, but you just want it to be over for the wife. I've got to say, im glad im not a woman











We have a great home for her, both secure jobs, I finally feel like ive made it

Thats what I'd want my lass to say to me, dont want to be anywhere near when all thats going on, thats what the mother in law is for isn't it
