for having my mobile in my hand for 20 seconds on the motorway. Little bit harsh because i wasnt talking or texting on it. Literally just had it in my hand to check a calendar entry quickly. Oh well didnt argue or anything and they were nice enough to me.

i wouldnt use my phone to talk whilst driving either. Imo what i was doing was no worse then say altering a sat nav or getting a cigarette out the pack. But the law is the law no point acting like a cock bout it

I was told lighting a tab whilst driving is illegal so if that's true you don't do yourself any favours. Also agree with what ojc said.

you take your hands off the wheel to change gear. to adjust heating controls. to use electric window buttons etc. equally as dangerous. such a daft thing to say. infact you are just provoking trolling with a comment like that steve and i am ashamed i have fallen for it.

I got 3 points for the same, wasn't even using the phone, I still think adjusting the radio is more dangerous but hey what do I know, I'm just a civilian

Annoys me this rule
texting IMO while driving should be ruled out but IMO if you can drive, you can take a call when driving. I have a wireless dongle, no idea if it's legal or not to use these days.
Is it illegal to eat and drive also now?

I tried that one, but 2 coppers opinions versus mine, it's not even worth going to court and risking court costs etc, which is a joke tbh
