i don't really know what to expect apart from maybe a bit more tax on my wages and VAT going to 20%

VAT will go up which will screw us a bit - but hopefully this will be offset but everyone getting a higher allowance so still willing to spend.

It is yeah, it will hit certain types of spenders more than it will others (i.e. big spenders will be hit more than your average Joe).

The annoying thing is that Vat will go up 2.5% to 20, but prices will go up 10% probably on everything 
I'm a postie, so a bit concerned on their plans of fully privitising the post office.
Other than that, I don't claim anything from the government whether I could or not, I dunno.
But the pirce of booze will no doubt be hit again, as will tobacco.
