Well about a year anyway and it started first time, just had a flat battery.
Is full of spiders though, just thought id share

I think the camshaft snapped on the old engine didn't it? Hence the 16v?

nticed the dent about a year ago. not starting it yet.
It will be going back to standard gsi spec (mettalic black)
the inlet is plated and its all peeling off, you can also see the whole in the inner wing just underneath the inlet pipe, thats the reason i took it off the road 3 years ago.

thats what my panel beater said earlier, but he said i should keep it exactly as it is.
But im going for the old in 50 years time it will be a timewarp kind of thing to pass on to my kids, if they want it

yeah that would be great, it was probably trendy a few years ago the way it is now, dont see what you would gain keeping it the same

its getting acid dipped and any parts that have some rot will be completly replaced or cut in, then when all the metal work is done it will be diped again to rmove any carbon from welding or contaminants and then galvinised/zinc coated and themn dipped in primer. should make it last a long time

can you still get repair panels genuine ones for them? my mate struggled to get hold of ones for his and that was years ago from vauxhall. some just arent available anymore.

i am on the lookout for genuine parts at the moment, when they come up i will buy and store them untill they are needed.
i managed to get hold of quite alot of new old stock panels for my brothers viva so fingers crossed ill get them, but if not then yes fabrication time.
