I have just been for a drive in my mates st focus its a 06 plate one,

My thoughts are its not quite as fast as i first thought, turbo kicked in after 3000 rpm, and it just wasnt that fast,

Comfty ride and handled really well and looks good to but just didnt do it for me

My dad used to have a st220 and it felt faster

Overall iam not impressed with it , Iam just confused to how people ramp on about how fast they are, or is this one i have just been in slow ?

What are peoples thoughts ?

Iam not slaging them off, or slatting them i just wanna no otheres thoughts and experiance

In the near 30 degree temperatures that we have at the moment I would imagine most turbo cars would feel fairly "flat".

Bettley asked what we thought and thats what i think.

if you need a big car for family/dogs etc and still want it to be fast(ish) get a focus ST, if you are young, carefree and want a decent, stylish car then i fail to see why you would buy the focus

I drove one when i had my last Scooby running 260 brake and it never felt 'Slow' to me in fact it handled and drove a lot better too.

What car do you have Bettley?

I have an xe corsa, and a 2.5 astra, so i mean there not slow, but what i trying to say is they wernt as fast as i thought they would be and how people saying how fast they were, it just made me think a bit more , thats all,

In general i love the car, it looks nice and goes well enuf but just wasnt as good as i thought from reading what people have said in the past

They suffer in this heat due to the shitty tiny intercooler.

Drive one in colder temps and you'll be amazed at the difference.

My MPS suffered at Nurburgring in the heat. That's a top mount though, which is probably worse than a side mount!

I believe a remap transforms them, guy who does bodywork for my dad bought one and hated it. Fitted some tuning box gizmo to it and he said its unbelievably different.
