Where to go?
16th July for 7 days.
Mainly for a chill out, but like to actually do stuff on holiday too. Beach would be ideal.
If possible all inclusive, and live off local beer / vodka!
Turkey is coming up a lot, but don't know it well enough to decide where's good.
Anybody know anywhere / find any decent deals? 2 adults.

Costa Adeje or Los Cristianos in Tenerife. Lots of all inclusive properties on offer, beaches close by, local beer served in almost every bar as well as more 'homely' drinks. Very nice island to relax or go wild as only a short cab ride away from Americas (in Cristianos).

I would go for Playas Loa Americas in Tenerife, Down the road to Los Christianos and alot nicer imo 
There are plenty of clubs and bars there but it was great just to chill out too
I went last year and it was a nice break

Was a good few years ago but from what I can remember, apart from beach and sunbathe, not a lot. Was 6-7 years ago I think so it may have changed since I went, I imagine it probably has.

I wen to Marmaris in Turkey on a last minute deal a few years back. I wasn't keen on turkey beforehand but I was actually very impressed. Food is dirt cheap over there too as is beer.

I've been to Tenerife a lot, americas and cristianos, would be nice to go somewhere different. Turkey is looking a fave though...
Side looks nice on pics, but if you want a night out what are the bars etc like?

Also, probably better value for money in terms of exchange rate if you go to Turkey as it doesnt have the Euro...........

It was about 5 years ago so can't remember much. We went to a Turkish Baths which was an experience. Hairy Turkish blokes rubbing you down etc. Was interesting!
We also went to see Turkish Delight being made!!!
In the evening, we didn't go clubbing etc but there were bars with good atmosphere and stuff. I remember in one bar the waiters were dancing on top of the actual bar and getting people up to join them. Was quite a laugh!
I remember the locals that were working in the bars and restaurants were really friendly. Food and beer was cheap. You could eat out and get a 3 course meal and a glass of wine or beer for about £5. ("starter" was local type bread with a garlic butter type dip). It was decent food for the money and portions too. I'm sure beer was about 80p per pint.
You get your usual peddlers on the street trying to shine your shoes or sell you a watch etc.

Just got back from Turkey 2 weeks ago, Was a really nice country and people(dispite what people said) food was cheap but beer was average £2.50-£3 a pint, wine was mega expensive, £25-30 a bottle.
Were looking to do a lastminute deal literally the day before we want to go, last week this month. So far we have been looking at next day and best we have found is Marmaris 5* All inclusive £280pp, or 4* £250pp.
We bought back 5 fake chanel watches and sold them for £30-40 each(birds love them round here) and so made about £200, looking to do the same this time but buy 10 and nearly pay for the holiday.
