My Chilean Rose Tarantula shed her skin about 2/3 weeks ago; every other time she's shed, she's only grown a small amount - this time she's got massive. Had her for 15 years since I was 11, we estimate she is 20ish years old now. They live to approximately 25 years old.

take a pic with something next to it so we can judge it's size better. i remember my dads shedding its skin when i was a kid. it was sat next to the shedded skin and you couldn't tell the difference at all. he hates spiders so didn't want to reach in and pic the wrong one up. my uncle got it for him as a joke so he only kept it for a year before finding it a better home.

mine's shed 6/7 times since I had it, so every couple of years on average - I'll get some more photos next time I'm at the 'rents!

its not a spider; it does fall under the family of arachnids but it is a Tarantula! Not a spider

it's so bizarre how we're afraid of such a small creature, we know it usually doesn't bite and probably won't hurt us but...it's odd.
Personally, I'm with these normal guys, I'm shit scared of tiny spiders, never mind that thing. It looks like if you stood on it, it'd stand up and go "MOAR".

mate had one of them, you have to be careful handling them as they fire the spines off their ass at you and they are really itchy

the hairs are barbed as well so once they're in your skin, they don't come out!

if you tried stomping it, it'll walk away with two legs over its head doing a family guy 'aaaaaaaaahhhhh, aaaaaahhhhhh'

I've got a 2.5ftx1.5ft Vivarium with heat lamp to maintain the temperature of 70degrees Farenheit and a humidty of 70%.
Feed her on crickets mainly; she seems to prefer black crickets to green

Fuck that.
If its not more than or equal to 8 legs and is bigger than a 50p, I don't want to go near it, spider or not
