For people who don't know, this girl was posting up nude photos of herself and making youtube videos looking for attention.
She posted this:

and then it spurred a meme based on the dad's stupidity ... 'I backtraced you', 'I'm informing the cyber police', 'consequences will never be the same'.
4chan kept it on launching attacks further on them and media sites such as gawker.

^^ even prank calling their family home.
Now, 'This morning america' - equiv of GMTV will be covering the story, but no doubt leaving most of the details of why this all started off and spinning it quite badly for the 'internet' and 4chan. Could be entertaining to watch...

That guy is a mong, an absolute mong! What he says about the media spinning the story is probably correct, but shutting down the internet? L-O-L  The new bill passed only allows them to shut down certain services like Google/Finance networks/etc and only for 120 days (unless they can get an extention), so it's far from 'shutting down the internet'....

There was a thread last night where some guy posted...

about 50 bullshit replies later someone asks for pics of this girl as they think he's talking bullshit so he replies with 2 pictures off her Facebook. Bad move. Someone looks in the file description of the image and sees her FB username, adds her and her family and messages them with the link to the thread, I went to bed after that but he got fucked over big style.
