As long as it's got ABS mate you can have 5 stud

Loved my 2 MK4's and wanted one before i bought my Audi now although i couldn't find a decent one for the money i had.

Well from what i remember if the car has ABS then it needs to be 5 stud. I'm sure i'm right but someone might come to correct me.

Ive got a mk4 but just the 1.4 16v model.Actually really like it.Drives nice and smooth and is worlds ahead of the Mk3 Astra. Not lightning quick but still goes decent enough to keep up with the traffic etc.

Aye its like its got a wee powerband at 4k rpm.Pulls a bit harder after that.Couldnt beleive it when i seen it hit 120 (private test track) the other day.Dont think it had much more to give like and was probably only 100 real speed

I have a 1.8 mk 4

Pretty good cars to have. Think the only problems are with the throttle bodys getting full of crap and the egr valves. Both easy fixes and can be done when its serviced.

Best bet for the 5 stud is to go for a 1.8 or higher as they are already 5 stud

A 1.6 can be converted to 5 stud even if it doesn't have ABS originally I thought? Best bet would be to ask on AOC.

I had a 1.6 SXi, I loved it, very little went wrong with it, and as mentioned the things that went wrong were really simple to fix (EGR Valve)
