I've been made an offer of £500 for a like page I made on Facebook that boomed to 300k+ fans, just wondering what they're gonna do with it to make their £500 back and obviously more...

Spam the members, mostly.
It won't make money back directly, just get people to their event/product.

What page was it? I'd say it'd be worth more than £500.

£500 for making a free page, I'm in the wrong business
Get it sold, it's not making any revenue for you as it stands!

I forgot all about it, I made it when I was sat there bored an I'd only gone on the computer to check me bank statement and ended up on CS and Facebook, then all of a sudden it boomed with fans and then someone on another group put a message up saying anyone got any groups with more than 50k fans, cash paid. Messages him and he offered me that, soon as he sorts it out it'l be gone and I'l be bookin a holiday
Edit: I was more curious as to what he was gonna do with it, not wieghing up "should I sell it or not" I made that decision within point of a second of him making the post on the other group

Sell it on flippa
and give him the link.
http://flippa.com/
Put the start price as £499.
(this is an auction site for web properties) ... People would honestly pay to get a following of 500,000 people. Ok sure they'll be spammed at etc, but they'll work it out on a fact that 1 or 2 % will respond to it...
5000-10000 people respond (e.g. go to your site / product)

He offered me PayPal...
I have to speak with my partner mate will be in touch tonight, you got paypal right? If we agree on some deal, we proceed with paypal cause its more secure, we buy lots of pages and we want everything to be right with payment.

Theres nothing in there, I dont use it, its linked to a bank account that doesnt get used either so that has nothing in it. I did put this up on here to see why someone would want it and to see other peoples opinions so no need for the face im not a walk over, I havent gave him any details...

The smiley wasn't meant in a bad way, chill. The way he worded it in the quote above that you posted sounds like how a dirty foreign scam artist would type.

Yeah it did cross my mind too, hence asking on here what he would want it for... but I thought the worst he can have me off for, if that was his game was the actual page once I've changed the Admin on it, no biggy...?

i think your probably right Jay. Is there another secure way that you can deal with potentially dodgy dudes though? How bout him posting you a cheque and waiting for it to clear even though thats a slow process i know!
