Anybody had one, heard any horror stories?
Once the corsa is sold i'm thinking of getting a C class.
Seem quite cheap and from what i've heard from others i've spoken their reasonably reliable. Nearly 200 ponies too!
Heres a link of one i've found, going to have a look at it sometime soon.

I thought so. Being 19 aswell and having a car with a major snob badge! Reasonable performance, looks good, comfy as hell, pish MPG. Sounds good to me.

I didn't think was too shabby. Wondered myself what it would be like but i spose when you think about it, it's not your regular hooligan car for yound drivers. Old man car so i can't see loads of claims being made on them.

Any body ever had one, driven one? I could imagen it would be pritty comfy. Never had a supercharged car ither. Whats the general power delivery like, similar to N/A i.e quite linear?

I used to own a c240 elegance on an splats back in 2005.
That car may be cheap to buy but it will cost a fortune to run.

Excellent cra but the wiring loom was shot at and ended the cars life
anything that goes on that will be expensive and a potential end to the cars life

I am aware that they will be costly if things go wrong. But am i being stupid to be lulled into a false sense of security with the badge and reasonable milage.

The interiors are terrible, I was looking at the AMG version a couple of years ago.

Ahwell, it can't be as much of a ball ache as my XE. Something needing re-wired or a sensor failing evertime i drive the thing. I just want something comfy, cool and semi reliable to fill a 6ish month gap.

The wiperblades from Merc where looney money servicing brakes tyres all expensive it will guzzle fuel too. My sister has same engine in Slk and while no slouch it's hardly that quick.
For some examples for you a non cambelts service including brakes on my c240 was £900 from Main dealer.
My sis has an Slk on a w plate. Central locking motor went messed up the alarm so had to get it replaced only place that sells them is Merc and was £400
Unless you want to waste cash don't bother. Badge means nothing they are all made from metal and plastic and break just as much as the next car.
Interior is date but mine was built like a tank and never went wrong. It was however a low miler

I work for Merc and i also know the car. Very little goes wrong with them other than the usual suspension, corrosion, sometimes wiring faults and radiators. They were pretty well built, anything newer than this is when MB started to cut costs.

Being a manual you'll also struggle like hell to shift it when you get bored of it. I don't know if the sports have different suspension at all but my dad's old Elegance was a right boat, horrible to drive it just wallowed everywhere. He hated it for most of the time he had it
