Basically I want a set of Cav Turbo wheels on my Corsa, obviously the problem there is the stud pattern differences.. There was a lad on here (from South Africa?) who has a mate with a Corsa on Turbo rims, but he'd drilled the wheels to 4x100.

Anyone know if this is safe? It looked like he'd had the old 5 stud holes alloy filled as you could only see the 4 studs.. I have a mate who works for an engineering company who do all CNC and would be able to drill them, just need to know the bad points of doing this, thanks!

Less hassle and money to change the hubs.

A lad on here told me he's spent nearly £1000 changing his hubs to fit 5 studs... Surely getting the wheels alloy filled won't cost alot, and my mate will drill them for me fairly cheap

I think the rims you mention in the first post which have been redrilled to 4x100 are more likely to be standard SA market rather than 5x110 and altered.

Drilling wheels and getting it right is no easy job.

I read the thread the image was in a while back, and as far as i can remember he had them filled and re-drilled. He said they came off a Kadett 200ts (Our MK3 Astra GSi) so I searched for them on ebay and they're 5 stud as well.

I also think you would get a hub conversion for less than £1000.

That £1000 included front and rear brakes etc, but suppose he could of got some pretty expensive ones. And £500 is still alot of money when the wheels are worth about £100, even more so when you only work part time

Yeah you can get adapter plates but they space out each wheel about 22mm, so you need a wheel with a very high offset otherwise theres plenty of arch rubbing problems
