Yesterday me and my gf went off to PC World to buy her a new laptop for her birthday. I printed off a page from there site on the laptop we wanted. We settled on a HP G62-107sa which cost us £399... Reduced from £499.
We got it home and installed everything, all was working just fine.
I have just had a quick look on the PC world site again today and its there now for £349... £50 cheaper a day later...
Im absolutely gutted/angry and would like to know if there is anything i could do e.g. return it and then purchase it again at that price...?

7 day return isnt it? just take it back say you want a refund or credit note.

but is £50 even worth the hassle of doing it?

Well i think so, its only up the road. It just depends on their policy if i have already installed all the programs / transferred all her files over... I suppose there is a restore feature that i could use.

I had this happen to me too. Ordered a Jack Wills hoody in the sale, reduced from £79, to £59. went on the following week and it had been reduced again to £34
I did think about sending it back and like you say, re buying it, but I had chucked all the tags away and already washed the thing

It's better of in your pocket than theirs.

I'm sure you get 7 or 14 days with almost all products but I'd have thought it needs to be in a saleable condition?

Although very annoying, it's something that happens all the time, it's a chance you take obviously

Don't know if that applies to items you buy in-store though - I would assume it does?

You could always buy another, then return it tomorrow using the original receipt? Unless the receipt states serial numbers, obviously.
Of course, there is always the risk they won't take it back for whatever reason, and you'll be stuck with two

thing is right, items drop in price so people will always be in this position? its just luck of the draw when they lower the price and when you buy the product.
i would be a little bit pissed off to by the way i am not saying you should accept it
