At the centre of the Atom V8 is a lightweight 3-litre normally aspirated engine built for Ariel in the USA by Hartley. It is a hartley h1 v8 based on two hayabusa engines and costs $28000 for the engine alone!

ah, i thought the hartley engine was a stand alone design, sounds almost identical to the AS-T offering then

Its cool and all but these sort of things aren't real cars. Like John says its scaffolding on wheels with an engine bolted on the back.
