Would I get away with these as those day lamps or whatever they are called. Or would a copper class them as my fog lights? I'm not trying to be cool and try getting away with looking like a chav, it would just save me buying them and putting them elsewhere.

Why do you need lights in the day would be my question?

And to me they look like foglights so i would hang out my window and give you a massive wanker sign.

they are in your fogs so they are fog lights. they aren't set up for being used as daytime running lights, therefore would blind oter road users, probably.

either get some led strip things or upgrade your car.

Ben G: I'd love to upgrade my car, but nothing's heading my way atm.

scottyp: Just so I can be visble by other road users, had 2 people cut me up this morning both nearly clipped my car.

Thats nothing to do with the fact you had no "daylights" on, they were just shit drivers.

nathy, just use your headlights in the day.

i know how you feel as a i regularly get cut up by wankers in the morning who don't use their mirrors, but having your fogs on won't stop them.

legal reasons i think would mean they couldn't be daylights - something about position/height on the car.
The fog light should be the lowermost lamp if the lamps are not aligned

irrespective of this, they would be seen as fog lights

if they are non directional i.e like fog lights youwill be pulled

Daylights in theory are to improve your cars visibility to others

Having them so low is pointless IMO

I had a little rant about people using their normal headlights in daytime, especially the corsa b boys with their 'hid style' bulbs that are 10x worse. All most as bad as fog lights and are bright as fuck.

Daylight bulbs are no where near as bright as normal headlights.

I find it funny people need the excuse of 'to be noticed' when it comes to admitting using headlights during the day.

because they arent volvos (other cars). buy a volvo if you want to use them during the day. its a pointless feature anyway. or just use your own and think youre cool / attention seeking.
what kind of car do you have and what are the mods?

Because in Sweden they have days in winter which see hardly any light. Its a legal requirement

I hate all this bollock daylights nonsense. I have never ever been driving along in the day, seen a car with lights on and gone "oh look another car, i thought this motorway was empty"

How blind are people?

i cant view pics because im at work.

like i said in my previous rant in another thread, i find its either cars that come with daylights standard or people who have modified their car in a way they need to let others know by forcing them to look at the car, otherwise how else would you be noticed whilst driving in the opposite direction.
you will never see a heep of shite with their lights on during the day put it that way.

Absolutely no need for daytime lights. If someone fails to spot a 7 foot long, 6 foot tall metal box on wheels around them, having your lights on isn't going to change that.

If this hasn't prevented people nearly hitting you how will fogs on make any difference?
