I have a 320d not mapped yet. Averaging around 43mpg on b roads not pussying around. Returns above 50mpg on a run. Pulls well for a big car, pretty quick in 6th gear would give some quick cars a good race.

iv had a e46 320d for a while now, never let me down and great for motorways, but just feels boring most of the time.

go for something bigger engined, if you can afford the insurance the 320d is around 130bhp and facelift model around 150bhp i believe

An E46 330d mapped to 280bhp??Do they pull an extra 80bhp just from a remap??

Anyway, mate had a 330d Msport with the earlier 187bhp engine and it was awesome on fuel.Got driven hard 95% of the time and i swear the fuel gauge didnt move. And it was very quick.

Think the newer engine in the e90 can be as they are 230 standard. Think they can push 270 with map.

The e46 engine, no way. Its like 250 max (the later engine). Look at ant and pete fenton on youtube from the 2004 gumball i think (or 2005). Chasing ferrari 355's in there 330d
