Meeting up with people we met on Holiday and decided to go somewhere give or take a few miles half way thats decent for a weekend (well Saturday - Monday) any suggestions? Want somewhere lively to go out, been to Birmingham twice but found it quite crap? So any other suggestions or its gonna be Brum!

duno never been out at night just stayed there one night so was in a pub and then walked round the town for the day.

i wouldnt particularly want to go there for a holiday, quite a nice town but not that much to do

I'm going to Ludlow near Shrewsbury end of Nov, meant to be a nice area of the country probably very quiet though.

Where'd you go in Brum? There are a lot of crap places, but there are some nice ones too. Steer clear of Broad Street!

Not sure tbh it was just full of snarlin black people or gays where's good to go then cause looks like its gonna be brum!

Sounds like you went to Oceana or The Works/Gatecrasher
Go to Brindley Place, then go to Mechu after - a bit grubby but they only let white people in

gatecrasher isnt full of black people, that dragon club is so is risa, the further up broad street you go the blacker it gets

EX girlfriend of mine lives in knighton, which is about 30 mins from ludlow. Its not that impressive tbh.....the castle aint bad if thats your kinda thing.

Yirp, it's a nice canalside redevelopment bit on the side of broad street with bars and resturaunts. Few chains but they're nice too...

There's a Novotel and Travel Lodge on Broad Street. There's also a Holiday Inn on Paradise Circus.

Depends what floats your boat, the fact it's got a massive liquid doesn't really sell it to me. The fact it's full of scummy welsh people is also a bit of a turn off for me.
