Need to get the astra remapped, it appears no-one in scotland can do a live remap on it, just a custom flash map.
Choice is between two:
Sitech Racing
Hypertech
Sitech have quoted me £400+ vat
Hypertech £300+ vat
Both have before and after power runs
Sitech did seem more professional as I spoke to the owner himself who was quite knowledgeable, Hypertech I got a secretary who was a bit sketchy on details.
Anyone heard much about either company?

I wont go in to great detail but Sitech just tried to do my mate over regarding work to a head for a fiesta, although he was a nice chap when we went there.

You can't live map those ECU's, usual procedure is to upload a base map and there's certain parts the tuner can "tweak" but that's as good as you'll get on the OEM ECU.

If you are gettin a generic map then i wouldnt spend £300, i have ph1 low boost, ph1 high boost and stage two here and if you buy a galletto i can send you them for nowt, ive been running ph1 for ages with no problems. It cost me £25 to map my car and it takes 13 minutes to do it. Aslong as you save your standard map you wont have any problems as you can revert to standard whenever you want. The maps are EDS

Are the maps for these not in common circulation? Sure I seen somebody on here talking about them.
Cheap ebay kwp2000 flashes them iirc.
Just read you already have that

Yeah, could go down the generic map route, but id much rather have it done to suit my mods, and have the RR session with it too.

SiTech I say,
Danny's comment is the only bad comment I've ever heard about them, know quite a few people persoanlly who have used them.
Done a full engine build on someones pulsar I know and did a very good job.

Sitech, they are one of our dealers, maps can be adjusted to suit.
Live mapping is a term given to emulating an ecu, now what you do is load a map onto the ecu, do a run and check it then make any alterations and reload etc, essentilly the same as live mapping but done without opening the ecu.
Simon is very good with tuning deffo worth a shot.

Probbly because your ecu is not able to be mapped, the same a motronic. If this is the case then tune it via the fpr and a wideband and you can do this youself.

Aye, but it wasnt a live map I was after, I already know I cant get this.
What I wanted from sitech was a custom flash map, just a ECU flash that was written to my mods (Slight variation on the current stage 3 maps etc), but now they tell me it cant be done.
Ill give them a phone today, need to get it done before the MOT, not too confident about the emissions with the X20XEV cam!
